Manisha is a Master of Laws graduate from the prestigious Ivy League Cornell University Law School, United States. She read law at the prominent Amity Law School and holds a certificate in Corporate Law and Governance from the renowned London School of Economics and Political Science, United Kingdom.

Experience

Manisha is the Managing Partner at UKCA and brings to the firm an extensive view of Corporate and Commercial Laws from the biggest players around the world. Her forte lies in the field of General Corporate Advisory, Writs, Litigation, Negotiations, Corporate Restructuring, Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity, Commercial Transactions and Capital and Financial Markets Regulations. She regularly appears before the High Courts of various states, the Supreme Court of India and Tribunals and is also on the panel on various government companies and authorities.

Leadership, Membership & Awards

Manisha has been recognised as India’s Top Disputes Lawyer, 2021 and Super 50 lawyers 2021 by Asian Legal Business (Thomson Reuters). Indian Achievers’ Forum has awarded Manisha for Excellence in Legal Industry in recognition of Outstanding Professional Achievement. She has also been ranked by AsiaLaw as a Notable Practitioner for Dispute Resolution and Restructuring and Insolvency and featured as 40 under 40 Lawyers by Business World BW Legal. Her Alma Mater also awarded her the Amity Alumni Achiever Award for Outstanding Entrepreneurship, 2021. She has also been recognised as the Young Woman Professional of the Year in Legal by Future Women Leaders Awards, 2021. Manisha has also been featured as one of India’s most “Trusted Corporate Lawyers” in the 1st edition of a coffee-table book “The Vanguards” published by the India Corporate Counsel Association (ICCA) with support from Ministry of Law & Justice and Ministry of Commerce & Industry, and as a one of the “Shining Stars of Indian Legal Fraternity” in a coffee-table book “Constellations”, published in the year 2019, by the Corporate Counsels Association of India (CCAI). Manisha has also been featured in Start-up City Magazine as the “Women Entrepreneur of the Year, 2019”.

Manisha is the Jt. Treasurer of the National Company Law Tribunal Bar Association. She is also part of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy and Corporate Law Committees at PHDCCI. Manisha is on the advisory board of India Law Journal (ILJ) and Corporate Law Journal (CLJ). She has published articles in various legal and corporate magazines, and also presented varied subjects and been on panels at seminars and conferences held all over India. She works pro bono for social enterprises. Children rights and women empowerment are two other subjects that are very close to her heart. Manisha is a regular guest lecturer at various law schools and a judge at moot courts.
