Experience

Raja Singh is a Partner at UKCA and Partners LLP. He leads the firm’s Banking, Insolvency, Competition, Commercial, Civil and Service matters, and advises on domestic and international arbitration. He has over two decades of experience advising and representing individual and corporate clients in complex, high-value disputes across sectors.

In arbitration, Raja acts in institutional and ad-hoc proceedings and related court matters, including enforcement and setting aside of awards, jurisdictional challenges, and public policy objections. He represents underwriters and commercial entities in arbitration challenges in India.

He has advised and represented clients in antitrust and competition investigations involving allegations of price-fixing, price discounting, and bid-rigging. He regularly appears before courts and tribunals across India in significant commercial, regulatory, and enforcement matters.

Matters handled by Raja have received extensive media coverage, including but not limited to those of HBN Dairies, Indiabulls etc.

Leadership, Membership, & Awards

Raja has been recognised as winner of the LegalOne Stellar Accolade 2025 (India), recognised among the “Top Disputes Lawyers 2022” by Asian Legal Business (Thomson Reuters) and has been awarded the “Business Leadership Award in the Legal Industry” by the Indian Achievers’ Forum.

Raja has represented clients before the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts, and specialised tribunals pan-India. He has been appointed on multiple occasions as an Alternate Chairperson by courts to convene meetings in merger matters, as a Local Commissioner by the Hon’ble Delhi High Court, and as an Auctioneer by the Learned Debt Recovery Tribunal.

Raja is empanelled as legal counsel with various Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). In this capacity, Raja regularly advises and represents these institutions on matters relating to government policies, regulatory frameworks, and a wide spectrum of central and state laws.

Raja is an active member of several prestigious professional bodies, including the Delhi High Court Bar Association, the National Company Law Tribunal Bar Association, the Bar Association of the Debt Recovery Tribunal, and INSOL India. Through these associations, Raja remains closely engaged with developments in corporate law, insolvency and bankruptcy matters, and financial and commercial litigation.
